Born in Co. Kilkenny, Liam Butler travelled the world, acquiring skills in welding in Germany and America, before returning to the West of Ireland, where he has been creating artwork in bronze, copper & steel, for nearly 30 years and his work has a particular empathy with nature, inspired, in particular, by birds and trees.
