Born in 1949, Sara Sue McNeill studied at Art College in Dublin, and subsequently under the artists Kenneth Webb and Anne Tallentire, soon establishing “Ladybird Art Studio” in Donaghadee. Co. Down in 1978, where she has provided professional training for painters in all media. In the late 80’s Sara Sue started to exhibit in Galway and had her first solo Exhibition in 1990. She is constantly inspired by the wild romantic landscape of Connemara, by the expanse of sky and the bleak but stunning wilderness of Roundstone Bog, with its constantly changing moods of light and colour. Sara Sue captures the essence of Connemara in her paintings.
